Malawi Friends Projects
Over the last five years the Irish Restaurant Company, through the Galway Bay Golf Tournament and in partnership with
the
South
Anne Arundel County Rotary Club, has helped
the small community of the Holy Cross Parish in Nkhemenya, Malawi,
Africa. We are pleased to relate that with our help the village has completed an important water well project. To learn more about this and

The Galway Bay Annual Golf Tournament
The Galway Bay's Annual Golf Tournament, now in it's 13th year, is a great fun-filled day of golf with a serious purpose.
Galway Bay, in partnership with the
Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County, hold an annual outing and fundraiser
for the work being done in Nhekamenya, Malawi, Africa and the Holy Cross Parish community. We have helped provide
clean water and a maize mill for the Parish and other projects are in the works.

The Tournament is timed for early September just after we all get back to normal after the summer break and the kids are back at school. Join friends and the annual players to help raise money while playing the game you love! This is your chance to play on the renowned Old South Country Club normally available to members only. This year's tournament will be held on September 10th.
Information for Players
Upon arrival at the tournament players will check in with staff and volunteers, meet up with their foursomes, purchase raffle tickets, grab some breakfast, take a few minutes to see what we have been doing in Malawi since last year's tournament, get their cart and head out onto the course. There will be great food, games on course, and some special offerings and gifts for golfers. Download more details (pdf).

There are many levels of sponsorship, from Presenting Sponsors, to golf cart sponsors, to tee signs or hole in one sponsors. You can get all the Sponsorship Opportunities information in our Sponsorship Brochure (pdf). You can also contribute directly on-line at our store.
Information for Prize Donors
Would you like to donote a prize to be awared in the Golf Tourney Raffle? It is a great way to contribute! Your promotional opportunities include: Announcements on tournament day, posters thanking prize sponsors hung in registration area, your Company name will be listed in program, sponsor giveaway tables will have promotional items and pamphlets for tournament participants. Earthquake Relief for Haiti
On Sunday, February 28th, the Galway Bay and Annapolis Accommodations held a special fund-raising dinner to help the children and families that were devastated by the Haiti earthquake and aftershocks.
Live music, food, beer & wine was provided by Galway Bay. All the food and beverages were donated by us so that 100% of what was raised went to charity
Employee Contributions
On selected dates in February, 2010, the Brian Boru, Killarney House, and Galway Bay establishments
donated 10% of all sales to Haiti Relief. Our wonderful employees volunteered to donate 10% of their tips.
Between the two fundraisers we raised just over $3,000 dollars $1,000 of which went to sponsor a survival box and the remainder directly to Our Lady of Liancourt in Haiti to help in aiding the parish there. We are continually working through the SAARC to further help this community and are planning a future dinner fundraiser at Killarney house to help with a generator purchase. Any help for these purposes is greatly appreciated.

Multiple Sclerosis Benefit
Every year The Kinsale Innhosted a benefit to help fight Multiple Sclerosis. We have a full buffet and special musical guests throughout the afternoon and evening. A raffle is held with prizes donated from the local community which can range from beauty/spa packages to power tools to food/wine baskets to overnight stay packages at our Inn and other local Inns.
This year's benefit was held on February 20th and was a resounding success. We raised $5,370!!
A very big THANK YOU to all who came out that day and donated to the cause.
Those who weren't able to join us that day still had an opportunity to contribute by walking in or sponsoring a member of the Patty's Pals team in the Dartmouth MS Walk. We walked on April 10. All the information about the walk can be found on the National MS site. You can see our totals at our Patty's Pals page. We wanted to reach $5,000—we made it to $5,420.00!!
Trivia Pub Quiz
Locals having been coming to Brian Boru and Galway Bay for Pub Trivia for almost a decade—not only is it a great time, all the proceeds have always gone to a charity of the winning team's choice. The nights are fun, educational and help the local communities. Over the years we've raised over $100,000.00 for various charities! See the full list of charities we've helped.
